Hospitality technology company HotelRunner has acquired B2B travel marketplace Bookingate for an undisclosed sum.ย
HotelRunner, which was founded in 2011, said the acquisition would strengthen its “commitment to completing the travel value chain for supply and demand.”
Bookingate’s platform offers hotel inventory as well as other third-party services to travel providers. The acquisition broadens HotelRunner’s offering, enabling it to help travel agencies, tour operators and destination management companies solve challenges with distribution as well as direct and offline sales.

The company said the enhanced platform will improve hotel contracting, enable dynamic packaging and help offline travel agencies transition to the online world.
HotelRunner has made a number of acquisitions in recent years including Turkey-based PayPad a year ago and analytics platform Ratefor in September 2020.
HotelRunner raised $6.5 million in Series A funding in early 2023.
