Camping platform Acamp merges with competitor Campio


Camping and motorhome platforms Acamp, based in Sweden, andย Campio, based in Norway, have joined forces to create what the two companies are calling “the leading Nordic platform for camping and motorhome tourism.”

Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed, but as part of the merger all hosts and users from Acamp will move to Campio.ย 

Founded in 2020, Acamp connects campers to private landowners and companies that want to rent out their land. In 2022 the platform secured โ‚ฌ2.5 million in funding to accelerate growth and expand business into Norway.

Campio said it offers 25,000 campsites and motorhome parks across Europe, along with a booking and property management system for hosts.

The company also has an app for travelers to find motorhome parks, campsites, pitches for tents and caravan, cabins and glamping options. The app offers pre-booking, a reward program and an artificial intelligence-based itinerary planner.
