No surprise there, really – who realistically would want endless cups of coffee and a few bags of a dozen peanuts if they could carry on using their devices whilst flying from A to B.
SITAย recently pulled together a heap of data collected from its OnAir platform, to get a better sense of what people are doing when using wifi facilities on a flight.
There are currently more than 20 airlines offering free wifi (including Emirates), with some predicting this will increase massively in the years to come as it becomes a competitive element against other carriers.
But are passengers spending their time on-board mostly browsing the web andย checking their email, orย perhapsย postingย videosย of grumpyย cabin crew to YouTube?
